Heritage Wood Craft was founded in 2019 by Rory and Jenn Alexander. First created as an hobby and creative outlet, Rory is now full time at Heritage creating bespoke art, furniture, and home decor pieces.
The ”Heritage“ in Heritage Wood Craft is what sets our work apart. Rory’s background is unique and diverse, and he brings it to every piece he creates. A somewhat nomadic life brought Rory to Northern Nevada in 1997, moving enough to attend 11 schools before graduating high school in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Now based in Spanish Springs, Nevada, just outside of Reno, Rory includes influences from travels throughout the world in each piece he creates.
With our focus on customer-driven design, Heritage Wood Craft offers clients a unique opportunity to work hand-in-hand with a skilled artisan create unique pieces from wood, epoxy, and metal.
Our specialty is heirloom-grade furniture and functional art, including epoxy river dining tables, custom waterfall tables, live edge conference tables, and other unique pieces of furniture that will bring beauty and character into your home.
At Heritage Wood Craft, we take pride in our craftsmanship. Each piece of furniture is meticulously crafted for durability and style. We work on only a small number of pieces at a time to ensure focus and dedication to the best possible results for each and every piece we create.
While we do offer a small collection of items in our web store, most Heritage Wood Craft custom furniture and home decor pieces are handcraftred and custom-tailored to each of our customer‘s unique homes and lifestyles.
Customer-driven and customer-centric is how we design. That means that you are our focus and our inspiration.
Why do our slabs have cracks and worm holes? Almost all wood materials used in Heritage Wood Craft furniture and decor is sourced from local sawyers and mill works who obtain their raw materials primarily from Northern Californian urban and agricultural sources.
In fact, most of the claro walnut we use in our heirloom-grade furniture comes from large walnut orchards that once produced some of the best walnuts in the world.
Our intention is to serve this long-standing heritage justice, and let these artifacts of the area live on as functional art.
